Here I’d like to share some updates and achievements.

After three and a half intensely productive years in Qatar, I can say that this last one—the year of my leave—has become the most significant. It feels as though all the accumulated experience and knowledge have led to the opportunity to realize those modest dreams conceived a little earlier. With deep gratitude to my loved ones for the strong, constant support and belief, and with pride in overcoming fears and committing to continuous learning, I’ll keep here a list of my cherished projects from the year two thousand twenty-five.

INTBAU Qatar Winter school Documentary. It was a great pleasure to work again with Sergey, Ruslan and Ivan—my small but incredibly talented, deeply reliable, and supportive group of friends and production team. I hope that as a next step, I’ll find a way to bring us together in a dream company, so we can continue working in the field we love, supporting projects that share our values, and to producing works that resonate and inspire. The film will be published soon.

Personal Photo Exhibition in Qatar and the Book. Built by Many Hands: A Pavilion’s Tale was a three-month-long journey during which I took on many new roles. It was then that I realized that nobody truly knows anything when working on a new project. Even if you are an experienced curator, writer, designer, producer, or artist, it is always a dive into the unknown deep nothingness.

This simple yet obvious realization helped me overcome a blockage and find confidence in doing unfamiliar things, making decisions without hesitation or constantly looking back for approval, and instead gradually moving closer to the opening day.

It was the first time I curated an exhibition and worked on a book, alongside my dear friend and a wonderful artistic director, Igor Garin. It was my first personal photo exhibition. And what I value most about it—and what I believe helped me to complete it—was the fact that it wasn’t about me. But about those great people from the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan and their mission. I was there simply to continue, transmit, and support something I believe in.

Another important point is that all of this happened thanks to Fahad Al Attiyah as part of the work of the Caravane Earth Foundation. As his green light for the project from the very beginning, followed by his continues attentive and accurate artistic support throughout the process, was crucial in making it happen exactly as it did.

Documentation of the INTBAU Qatar Conference. This was another project that I led primarily as a producer. Over the course of two days, working with two videorgaphers, we filmed five podcasts, five lectures, and a roundtable discussion (with two additional people), in addition to comprehensive photo and video documentation of the event.

*All of this took place in parallel with my main responsibilities related to documenting and promoting the ongoing activities at Heenat Salma Farm.

Then four months of travel began.

It was my first time in Vilnius, Lithuania, where I visited the printing company to finalize all the details for printing our book.

After that came my first trip to Greece—and my first time on an island. The reason I went to Naxos was to meet the great artist Irini Gonou and to document her practice related to silkworms, which is a part of the Morus Project. I highly recommend searching for and exploring the work of Irini and her husband Miltos Pantelias. As it’s a great source of inspiration and an example of an honest, deep, and artistic practice that they have nurtured throughout their lives. From this visit, I produced photo documentation, a short film/interview with Miltos that has already been published, and a film with Irini that is currently in the editing stage.

Morocco. My second country in Africa. To be continued..

INTBAU Spain/Portugal Summer School. After flying for just one hour over the Strait of Gibraltar, I landed in Spain for the first time. There, I spent two unforgettable and deeply enjoyable weeks with students from all over the world—old and new friends—documenting the process through photography and recording moments and interviews on video. Meeting Alejandro García Hermida and learning about his efforts and achievements with Fundación Culturas Constructivas Tradicionales was another big gift of this journey.

Alhambra. An unimaginably beautiful place with a rich and layered cultural heritage. I was reading The Granada Trilogy by Radwa Ashour while walking through the streets described in the book, trying to sense the lives of those people who walked there centuries ago. It became one of my favourite book btw. I now have a substantial photographic archive of one of the most beautiful architectural monuments in the world.

France, Pyrenees. One and a half months in a small village, surrounded by hills and close friends. Studying French, trying to plan my next major shift in life and photographing simple daily moments and dear people.

Back to Qatar — End of Contract. One last, deeply emotional month on the Farm. Packing up my life and preparing for the move.

London. A dream that came true—and turned into a new dream. I attended the INTBAU World Congress and fell in love with the city.

And finally, Paris. My second month here—getting to know the city, learning how to build new connections, and once again diving into the inspiring projects and collaborations…
